Dozens killed as 2 blasts rock Algerian capital

This current event talks about in Algeria there waz two car bombs . The first one targeted united states officers adn staff members of the united states wich killed 10 people adn the second blast killed 45 people in the capital of algeria. this all happend on tuesday. A public officer stated that the bombs went off ten minutes apart. The explosion went off around 9:30 AM in a street where the U.N development program is located . In my opinon this makes me nevrvous becuase i have a cousin that is in the army and on december 24 2007 he is going to be send away to iraq and seeing this makes me fear foe his life. how one day he could be walking down the street and a bomb goes off.

An African school succeeds against the odds

There are 1,531 students, six classrooms, no running water and no light bulbs. They all sit outside with no chairs and under the hot sun. They all attened school without shoes , also barley with piceses of clothes. One in two African children don't finish primary school, and millions don't go at all. Those who do often end up in crowded schools with untrained teachers. Most of them are embrassesd becuase they have never even read a book adn barely speak english. iIn my opinin i think itz sad seeing kids living this way in africa and it makes me appreciate things more becuase iam here in school in air conditionar and high tecnology and the schools provide us with food .The food aint that yummy but its better than nothing. These kids go home without shoes and skinny becusea they dont have the vitimans they need and thier parents work thier butts out to be in the same place. i wish the world could help them have a a better education at least.

I was most disappointed when ..... i raned away from home and i was sitting in the bushes near a canal and my phone was non- stop ringing . It was my mom calling and i did not pick up but she left me a voice mail that made feel like shit and not even show my face to my family. The voicemail was her crying and talking to me in spanish that to please return home and that she loved me no matter what. i brusted out into tears and i felt so stupid and i did not have the balls to call back her leave her a messages. Until she left me a message saying that she was going to call the police becuase she was worry sick. i finally called and told her where i was at . That whole weekend my mom felt like the worst mom ever adn i felt like the worst duaghter. i couldnt face my mom in the eye

Something that i dislike about myself is that i alwayz let fear overtake me. For example , if theres a room full of people and i have to present something i wont do it and if at first i say iam going to be able to do it i wont at the end becuase i would let it overtake me. My mom alwayz encourages me to get in clubs and be more active so i can control my self not fear control me but i cant also say its all fears fualt.

I have never seen i ghost and if i had herd something strange i would later find out what had made the nosie. I have had cousins of mine say they have experinced it.This happened in nicaragua in a farm at night time and at night they dont have lights so they use flashlights or if not candles .also the bathroom is not inside the house it is outside in the back yard in the dark adn lonley. They said that they were waitng for thier mom to finsh taking a piss and that she was taking for ever and she had asked them to bring her toilet paper so they went inside the house to get toilet paper and when they where walking they say there mom inside taking to the family adn they asked her how she got here so fast and she replied that she has not left the house and ever since no one tries to use the restroom at night. i kinda belive in ghost but i have to actually see it to belive it . i have seen shows where they show ghost and i kinda off belivie it but not fully.

The place where i would love to live is nicaragua. I would love to live in Nicaragua becuase i love to be around my family they make me happy. it is a special place becuase my grandmother that i loved to death passes away last year and she used to live there . My daddy bought the house where they grrw up in andn everytime i stay for the summer in the house i could feel her presences. My first impression when i hear about nicaragua is living life to the fullest. i enjoy being around people that know how to apprecaite things and i mostly find that in poor people becuase iam alwayz hanging around them. =)

If i could live anywhere in the world it would be in Nicaragua. It would be Nicaragua becuase i have family over there.I love being around my family becuase they make me happy. Also its a special place becuase my grandmohter that had died last year in december use to live there and my dad had bought the house that they had lived when they were younger. when i go for the summer and i sleep in the house i could feel her presences. The country is not a rich place the people are mostly poor but they know how to appreciate things and i rather live with around poor people that can make my day then living where people are stuck ups. my first impressioin of the place is life and fun. smiles come to my face when i talk about nicaragua. =)

What is your most indispensable possession and why? What possession of yours is most special? What make it so special? How did you acquire it?


The most indispensable possession i have is my 15's gown. my 15's gown is special to me becuase i did it in my country wich is nicaragua and all my family went. It was the most special day of my life and not only that but i had a grandmother named Abuelita pastora and at the time she was trying to overcome a stroke for about 2 years. She was able to recongnize me on good days and on the bad days she was scared of me. i use to cry a lot becuase i missed her voice and i felt that i was not able to appreciate her. she was not able to see me in my gown becuase she was to weak that she could not come to the party but i know she would have been proud of me. she passesd away last december. My family made me a wodden box with a key . I was able to store all the memorys of that summer, all the tears, luaghs now that i come to think of it i wish i could have spended more time with her. i love you and r.i.p . =)

In my opinion i dont think it is a racist statement. I mean it depends how you say it but other than that i dont feel like it is a racist statement. There is nothing wrong with saying that he his hispanic or african american. They made the word for you can use it and not to make it into something racist. There are people that could be mix with black and spanish and most of the time you could tell. If i can tell that the man/women is hispanic or black or even arabian and that is how i described the person does that atomatically make me racist?

The best lesson my grandparent (or parent or any relative) ever taught me was… (describe what and why)



The best lesson my parents have tuaght me was to never give up on myself. My mom always has sacrafied herself foe my sisters and I. They have tried to given my sister and I the best in clothes and shoes and even love. I have and always will appriciate that. My mom always told me " nimia become something in life so i dont have to work your ass off like me". I have been through a roller coaster in my life and my parents have always been the ones to held my head high for me . There have been times where i just break down and just give up and she is by my side telling me "No your better then this ". Ima very shy in school for some reason and that has always been a problem for me but they have tuaght me not to let my fears overtake me. Its easier to say then to do but iam trying. when i become rich becuase i know that iam going to be succefull thanks to my parents i wanna be able to spoil them with everthing becuase they do deserve it. =)

If me and my best friend could have a free limo for 24 hours. We would do to orlando and on da way to orlando we would buy junk food such as chips, candies, ice cream but we would have to eat that right away before it melts and we would also stop by blockbuster and get romantic, comedy, action and maybe scary movies becuase iam a scary cat and we would also luagh so hard for the dumbmest things that we pee on our pants .After we are done peeing in our pants we would stop by the gasoline station and change our clothes and get pretty again. On the way to orlando we would have girl talks and stick our heads out the window. When we get to orlando we would go to disney world and act like little kids and ride all the rides. we would also try to meet cute guys and have a good time. We would take a lot of funny , sexy and dumb pictures for myspace. After our time is almost done with the free 24 hour limo ride to orlando we would stand in front of disney world and make a wish. I would tell you my wish but then it wont come true! =) that would be my plan if i had a 24 hour free limo ride and it would be the best

A dream that i had recently and that i actually remeber was on sunday. It was about that i was in Nicaragua with my family and i got to see my cousin wich he is currently in the army. Well in my dream i got to see him and talk to him and then my grandmother that passed away was in my dream making me and my cousin some food and then she came towards me and gave me a big hug and said to me "que te bendiga dios y te amo" and then she left to her room that was the last time i saw her in my dream. I was chilling with my cousin in a farm and we went to the river and swam in it. The dream i had did not disturb me it made me feel happy and sad at the same time. It was good seeing my grandmother and my cousin.

Something that iam afarid of is being a faliure and not having my family with me. I hate knowing the fact that iam not as smart or talented as i want to be. I feel like i give my all for no reason.I want to be able to show my report card to my dad or mom with good grades and feel proud. I want to graduate school and go to college and become something in life. It is
easier to say then to do. I dont know what ill do with out my family . I always need support from them especially my mom . she sacrifies everything for my sisters and me.

yes i would like to have my own show. i would like to run the tyra banks show but instead it would be called the nimia show. It would be fun to have all the attention on you but the good attention the one where they actually care for what you have to say. My show would be to help others and youself for the better. I would travel around the world and help the poor kids. The that have been raped, sexually harrased, abused , drug addicts and and help people overcome sickness like anerioxica , depression and more things that help the world to be a better place. My show would be popualar .

If you could be given one skill or ability, which would you want, why would you want it and what would you do with it?

If i could be given one skill or abilty. It would be that i could just listen to the teacher talk while he/she would explain something in class and it would just stick with me. I would never forget or have to study for a quiz becuase it would already be stuck with me. There are some people that dont study for exames, test, quizes, and they always end up geting an A or B. My sister is like that she is in middle school and she is in gifted classes. She goes straight home and goes to soccer practice somes home around 6:00 then goes to her room and talks on the fun. She does get homework and she still manges to have good grades. i eny that in my sister not in a bad eny and good one. I wish i could have that ability or i should say SKILL that she has. I would be real happy

The most terrifying thing that has ever happened to me was when i was in nicaragua in a farm.I was tewelve years old. I was with my cousins and we where planing to go get wet in the river but when we arrived there was no water so we decided to walk in the empty river and just talk. There was a path that lead us to the forest in the top. There was big rocks that we had to climb in order to get to the forest and i had to pee real bad so i had my cousins turn around while i peeing and all the sudden i hear this buzz buzz. I looked aound and did not see nothing . then i felt something sting me in my scalp. I got up from my squating position and just ran . I did not have time to put my zipper up or buckle my pants . Then all my cousins started running and jumping rocks ,puddles while had bees were attacking us. One of my cousins fell and i ahd to go back and help him becuase my other cosins were to scared . The bees that attacked us are not the ones from the united states. The ones that attacked us go into ur scalp instead of your body but if you dont have hair then they sting your body or stay in your clothes. That happened to me two times already and its the worst feeling
